Block Fee Plan

"The Block fee" will cover the most uninsured services for one year. This program is designed to reduce patient costs and is optional for enrolled patients with their family doctor only; patients have the option to pay for individual services at the time a service is provided and not pay the Block Fee. The Block Fee plan will not apply to WALK-IN Patients.

By choosing to make one annual payment, you will be covered for many uninsured services, forgiveness for one no-show/late cancellation fee, and will not be billed separately for individual services not covered by OHIP.

Will my insurance cover block fee costs?

Many private insurance plans cover the costs of uninsured services/block fees, pleases consult your insurance company for details.

Can the cost of a block fee be claimed on my taxes?

According to the Canada Revenue Agency, money paid to a medical clinic for services, such as block fees, are considered an eligible medical expense.

Are clinics allowed to charge for uninsured services?

Yes, the Ontario government permits clinics to charge for these services.

No refunds available on subscriptions; no refunds available on charges for forms, notes, or services once completed or rendered.
